Hey Everyone!
We felt the need to strengthen communication with our community and decided that starting this month, we will be pushing out regular updates to keep you in the loop on what's happening behind the scenes at Bitwage! 🚀
With that in mind, welcome to the September Bitwage product update!
🚀 What’s New with Bitwage? 🚀
We're always striving to improve how you manage your payroll and invoices. With our latest updates, we're making things faster, smarter, and simpler than ever before. Let's take a closer look at what’s new! ⚡️
📄Smarter Invoicing & Client Management
With the latest upgrade to our invoicing feature, we’ve made it much simpler to handle invoicing. Not only are invoice details displayed more clearly within the invoice page, but you can also add clients and allocate payments all on the same page.
- Previously, you had to first add an employer by choosing the "Invoicing➡️ Clients" section, and you would later be able to select the client in your invoice. You can now directly add clients from the "Create Invoice" page simultaneously.
- The new additional notes section within the invoice section allows you to include additional information or a personalized message in case your employer requires you to add additional content or ID.
📝Client and Employer List Upgrade
Need to send an invoice to a client or expense your employer? You can now do it directly from your client or employer list in just a few clicks. This aims to cut down complexity across the platform, making the process faster for individuals and companies to pay and get paid globally while making the process as user-friendly as possible.
Here is what is new:
- Choose a client from the list and go straight to create an invoice without interruptions or having to hop between tabs.
- Expense an employer directly through the employer list.
🔗Consolidated ACH and Wire Accounts
You can now streamline your payment process by using a single set of account and routing numbers for both ACH and wire transfers. 💸So no more juggling between different accounts, as both types of payments are managed under one account.
You’ll benefit from:
- Unified Account Info: Manage ACH and wire transfers from a single account.
- Faster Processing: Experience quicker payment processing times. ⚡️
- Account in Your Name: Receive payments directly into an account under your name, enhancing professionalism and trust.
Note: For those currently receiving payroll through wire transfer, please note that we are phasing out Vantage Bank as of September 20th and transitioning to our new provider.
🔁Recurring Payroll Is Here!
We want to make the payroll process as simple as possible while letting employers keep full control over their payroll. This is a feature that many have asked for. You can now set up recurring payrolls, and if you need to edit, pause, or delete a payroll, you can do so all from one place!
This new upgrade lets companies set up recurring payrolls, which allows them to automate payroll creation at the frequency that is best suited for their needs. With this new upgrade, companies can:
- Edit, Pause, Delay, and Cancel a recurring payroll with just a few clicks.
- Set up the payment frequency for payrolls to either be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly which can be changed as your team grows
🏦USD Virtual Accounts for Businesses
We now have virtual accounts in USD for companies. These accounts are unique to each business. 💼
The primary advantages of this new function are:
- Get paid from clients, providers, or vendors through ACH or domestic wire with your new virtual USD account.
- Have a virtual ACH account in your company's name.
Note: Depending on the number of members that make up that company, the verification and validation process (KYB) for these accounts differs.
🔐WhatsApp 2FA
You can now log in anywhere you have an internet connection. In addition to SMS 2FA, you can use WhatsApp to receive your two-factor authentication codes. If your initial SMS 2FA fails for whatever reason, you can retry sending the 2FA code to the WhatsApp account connected to that same number.
Note: The WhatsApp 2FA code becomes available only after SMS 2FA fails and cannot be set up as the default 2FA method. WhatsApp 2FA is not available for switching allocations.
🎥Bonus: Learn Faster with GIFs & Slides
Even though the Bitwage experience is rather straightforward, we want to make your Bitwage experience even smoother, so we introduced new feature modules that break down our latest product updates and optimize the user experience through interactive slides and GIFs. All are integrated into your portal, so you can learn to use the platform intuitively.
